In the spirit of our June theme, recognition, we wanted to highlight our winners from our annual CCW Excellence Awards where we identified and celebrated top leaders in the customer contact space.
CCWomen is committed to awarding women through our esteemed Hall of Fame and Gender Equity awards. Our judges evaluated nominees in the following key areas:
- BUILD A STAGE: The applicant empowers other women and gives them the opportunity to shine. They are a coach, mentor, sponsor, and champion for women in their field, and/or for women and girls in other fields.
- CRYSTAL CLEAR: They aren’t afraid to do their research and talk about tough topics. As an industry thought leader, they practice transparency and advocacy so that other women may succeed. They use their position and influence to ensure their workplace’s commitment to the highest equity and ethical standards.
- SKIN IN THE GAME: The applicant creates communities, engagements, and resources that they would want to be a part of. They lead with compassion and connection, and always put the human first. They participate in meaningful ways at CCWomen events, live or virtual, and are committed to industry thought leadership and scholarship at broader CCW events.
- READY FOR CHANGE: Diversity, equity, access, and inclusion are at the forefront of their work. They move the bar for underrepresented women (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled women, working mothers, etc.) in measurable, enduring ways.
Our community continues to blossom because of these accomplished women, and we couldn’t be more excited to dedicate these awards to those who make their mark on CCWomen history— and the industry as a whole.
Here are our 2024 inductees.
1. Workplace for Gender Equity: Omni Interactions
Omni Interactions, a BPO solutions provider, strives to elevate its work community by fostering a culture where diversity and inclusivity can thrive. With a strong female leadership team, the company demonstrates its commitment to empowering women by strategically placing them in historically underrepresented roles, encouraging them to lead sales, operations, sourcing, and more.
“In previous lives, we’ve thought of this as a boy’s club. Having women as a big part of the leadership makes it so natural to empower other women as they’re coming up,” said Courtney Meyers.
2. Hall of Fame Inductee: Colleen Beers
Colleen Beers is the President and Global Head of Alorica Trust and Safety. Admired by peers and mentees alike, she’s known as a fierce trailblazer who illuminates other women’s careers through exemplary leadership. Not only does Beers work to innovate the customer contact space, but she enthusiastically advocates for diversity and impactful change for women everywhere.
Her piece of advice for pushing empowerment forward? Build and expand your community.
“Find your people, find your supporters,” said Beers. “Figure out all those who will surround you with love and support you when you fail, but also support you when you’re succeeding.”
3. Hall of Fame Inductee: Lisa Mariano
Lisa Mariano is ResultCX’s Vice President of Operations. With vulnerability and openness, she shares the ups and downs of her professional journey to highlight the importance of growing your resilience, especially in the face of unexpected changes.
Mariano aims to continue being a role model to inspire women in customer contact by telling her story. Regardless of background or experience, she believes every person has what it takes to grow beyond their circumstances and thrive.
“Start things on your own. If it doesn’t already exist, bring women together,” urged Mariano. “It can start as a monthly meeting or a breakfast. It’s not as complicated as one might feel.”
