The future of our industry starts with those we uplift in the present.
At CCWomen, we pride ourselves in featuring our community and celebrating their successes. Our new "Women Who Inspire" series shines a slightly different, but equally bright light on our emerging leaders who are currently paving their paths—and gaining diverse experiences along the way.
Here, we asked two women from our community on their inspirations and goals. Get to know them, what inspires them, and where they're headed next.
What challenges have you faced in your career that you feel have made you a better leader?
One of the biggest challenges in my career has been learning to navigate different expectations, personalities, and perspectives while staying true to my own ideas and capabilities. Working across branding, marketing, content, PR, and communications has taught me that leadership is not just about making decisions—it’s about listening, adapting, and bringing people together toward a common goal.
There have been moments of uncertainty and self-doubt, but those experiences taught me to trust my instincts, take ownership, and turn challenges into opportunities to grow. Today, I believe those experiences have made me a more resilient, empathetic, and confident leader.
What piece of advice would you give a woman entering the workforce?
Believe in your abilities even before everyone else sees them. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, take up space, share your ideas, and pursue opportunities that may initially feel beyond your comfort zone. Your career will not always follow a straight path, and that’s okay.
Every experience, including the difficult ones, can teach you something valuable. Most importantly, build your own voice and never underestimate the power of consistency, curiosity, and self-belief.
What are you currently working toward—professionally or personally—that you're excited about?
Professionally, I am building my foundation as a Public Health Consultant. After completing my general education and prerequisites at Skyline College, I am preparing to transfer to San Francisco State University in 2027 for my bachelor’s degree before pursuing my master's.
What excites me most about this is the opportunity to design and improve health programs that truly serve community needs. All in all, I look forward to applying the adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skills I’ve gained from my early work experiences to solve complex challenges in the public health field.
Who has been an important mentor, champion, or source of inspiration in your career so far? What have you learned from them?
My most impactful mentors have been my managers and peer trainers at See’s Candies and European Wax Center. When I entered the workforce in 2026, their patience and guidance helped me turn adaptability and clear communication into my greatest strengths. At See’s Candies, I learned adaptability and customer resilience while working on the floor. At European Wax Center, scenario coaching helped me communicate solutions with empathy and confidence.
Personally, my dad is my greatest source of inspiration. As a single parent balancing long work hours with his career journey, he showed me that perseverance is about intentional time management and consistently showing up.
Together, they’ve taught me that growth isn't about changing who you are—it’s about leveraging your strengths, staying open to feedback, and showing up authentically.
