International Women’s Day 2024 theme is “Inspire Inclusion.” Its official website states the following:
“In 2024, the campaign theme Inspire Inclusion emphasizes the importance of diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society. This year's campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected. Inspire Inclusion encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including those from marginalized communities.”
Gender equity is a cause we need to continue fighting for, especially as women—specifically women of color—continue to be underrepresented in key corporate roles. The glass ceiling may still exist, along with the broken rung that tries to hinder our progress, but we’re confident that there’ll come a day when the sky's our limit, and the ladder to success is accessible to all of us.

Multifaceted community engagement is a must.
While in-person events offer various networking opportunities, we must recognize that there’s more than one way to empower women and drive positive change. CCWomen focuses on delivering multiple experiences that are both tangible and accessible. It can be a spectrum, ranging from the depths of our quarterly book club discussions to the simplicity of a brief email check-in. Big or small, every effort makes a difference.
Melissa Pollock, Vice President of Client Success at AmplifAI Solutions and CCWomen+ member, shares, “Getting to be a part of the member distribution has been fun. We see when new members join because we get introduced to them. I’ve also noticed Sandy uses it as a mechanism to ask for help for a particular person, whether they have a question or are going through some evolution in their role.”
From start to finish, CCWomen strives to provide different touchpoints that allow our community to interact and build relationships that go beyond the screen. As women, our career needs aren’t one-size-fits-all.
Some women are still learning to thrive in their roles, build resilience, and seek mentors for further guidance. Others are already decades in but may be adjusting to an increasingly adaptive world and its continuous stream of innovation.
The point is that it doesn’t make sense to promise the same solutions to professionals in vastly different seasons. By now, most agree that one-size-fits-all is usually never an effective answer to a community’s needs. At CCWomen, we recognize that our members come with different questions and goals. Although there’s no set formula for meeting each one, we believe listening is the pivotal first step before taking action.

As a response, we host monthly webinars with luminary guests to share their success stories and insights. Whether on DEI, authenticity, or networking, our speakers discuss every relevant topic with confidence and vulnerability.
