Celebrating Women’s History Month Through Community Empowerment: a Content Roundup
Why do we have a Women’s History Month?
Time and time again, women who have pushed society forward aren’t recognized enough for their accomplishments. In many cases, they’re completely forgotten. Enheduanna was arguably one of the first authors of the ancient world, but historians must make a conscious effort to keep her on the main stage, if at all. Rosalind Franklin’s scientific findings contributed to the discovery of DNA structure, yet for years, her name was rarely mentioned alongside her more well-known male counterparts.
As we continue to empower women in the present, we must remember and honor those who’ve come before us. After all, they’ve provided us with an unwavering foundation that allows for impactful change. And although we have a long way to go, we make a conscious effort to pay tribute to our forerunners by championing the women leaders of today and spotlighting their stories.
Here’s what our CCWomen community has been up to.
Since Sandy Ko Fonseca’s legendary mimosa breakfast that started it all, CCWomen has made big strides. Our community grows everyday, consisting of inspirational women leaders with a deep passion for transforming the working world.
